A fix for the issue you’ve ran into here is in the works, will update here once its been released. Just hit this issue when trying to convert SVG into PDF using Inkscape to embed an image into a LaTeX paper (I guess tracyhenry was also using it). When Im trying to import the file as a graphic or as a part. Obviously we are still ironing out parts of that process out the parts that stop the process from working well with all svg sources. Ive got a problem while importing svg (or svgz) files created in the Inkscape to Sibelius. 'Unlock all layers' not working if layer is a child of a non-layer group (in other operations, that non-layer group would also be treated as a layer) If a layer is a child of a non-layer group, the layer is now considered a group (previously both would be considered layers). Our actual goal is to get these paths ironed out, things we cannot convert should fail immediately & features of svg that we cannot make use of get ignored, ideally informing you what was ignored. Importing object should convert sublayers to groups too.

(much) later we could try to pick out software specific features, but those will be integration by integration if they happen. For another I would do the fillets after you extrude or cut the text not in. When you unfix the sketch and try to move curves they can go wild fast. You can do some things to it but it is very limited, especialy with imported svg text. I’ve just had a look here, and it seems that any tag with inkscape/sodipodi at the beginning can be safely ignored. For one thing, an imported svg will not act just like a sketch. We need to cover inkscape and some other design tools in more detail, so far we’ve been getting information here from our users. It does not appear to have properties of a sketch. I can extrude the shape but have difficulty doing much else with it. Hi we’re aiming to include as much information as we can with svg conversion in our help center here. 01-31-2016 03:35 PM Problems with import of Inkscape svg I have imported an svg and from what I have read this should behave like a standard sketch. Import the following file into different versions of Inkscape and observe strange behaviour: Snowflagsquare.svg Steps to reproduce: open Inkscape 1.1.x / inkscape master import file open layers / objects dialog try to click on objects in file use 'unlock all' use 'unlock all' What happened Inkscape 1.1.
